What’s New in the Nexus 5:
The open architecture
of Nexus is no longer just a rompler. Now users can:
• Create presets from scratch: Full access to all engine parameters, which was previously only available
to official developers.
• Import your own samples: Support for single samples, multisamples, and entire libraries
with automatic slicing and looping.
• Create your own extensions: The ability to package your own sounds in expansion format.
New oscillators and synthesis
In the fifth version there are 8 types of oscillators available:
• Virtual Analog, Sampler, Wavetable, Time Stretcher.
New:
• Retro Sampler, Grain, Cloud and FM.
Effects and Processing
New studio effects have been added:
• Bucket Brigade Delay.
• Particle Reverb.
• Vowel Filter and Rotary.
• Pusher and Vinylizer.
• HexEQ: New 6-band equalizer.
Interface and usability
• Completely redesigned: A more modern and scalable interface.
• Retro Skin: A special skin that brings back the classic look of the legendary Nexus 2 for those

• Right-clicking on the effect header allows you to insert effects between other effects.

Fixes:
• Changing the pitch while pressing a note no longer affects sample selection.
• Fixed a bug where global lock remained enabled after resetting to default settings.
• Fixed an issue with inverted bipolar modulation matrix elements.
• Fixed an issue with notes getting stuck when using the sustain pedal.
• Fixed an issue with the default skin color being white.
• Fixed a bug where loop and variation modes for user samples were not showing up in the sampler.
Installation parameters :
• Clean Install – installs a new version of the plugin ( v5.#.# )
• Update Only – updates the old version of the plugin
• Library Destination – a line in which you specify the path to the Nexus Library
(the parameter is active only when you select Clean Install )
Note for MAC:
The default content location is –
/Library/Audio/Presets/reFX/NEXUS library
– place the contents in this directory or place a symbolic link there to the current
location of the library or edit the path in the file
/users/shared/reFX/nexus/settings.json
