Description:
The Italian Harpsichord library is a sampled antique harpsichord made in 1579 by master harpsichord maker Pierluigi in Livorno. Demonstrating its sonic qualities for almost half a millennium, it is a classic example of the Italian harpsichord-making tradition.
Compared to its Dutch and English counterparts, the Pierluigi harpsichord stands out above all for its fundamental, warm, and deep sound. This unique instrument, from the Andreas Beurmann collection, remains in excellent condition and is fully functional despite its advanced age…

Note:
1. The instrument’s tuning differs from the standard (for use in an ensemble with other instruments, it requires “tuning” in the sampler).
2. The major octave layout also differs from the “classical” one.

Loading into Kontakt4 :
The library was tested in 4th Contact and GigaStudio3.
Loading into Kontakt4:
Since the library’s nki patch is designed for Kontakt2, the first time you launch it (.nki) in Kontakt4, you may need to specify the path to the folder containing the wav samples. In this case, when you close the instrument, you should save its “changes” as a “patch” under the same or a new name (if you save under the same name in the same directory, the original nki patch will be replaced by the newly created patch).
This procedure may be necessary only once. The instrument will load automatically the next time you launch the nki file.
I have not experimented with older versions of Kontakt.
Loading into GigaStudio3 is done in the usual way.
