Description : Electric guitar
Evolution Vintage Gent presents an exquisite hollow body electric guitar from the mid 60’s. The guitar model we sampled, one of the iconic sounds of the British Invasion era, was originally created a decade earlier in collaboration with Gretsch and legendary guitarist, sound producer and Nashville sound pioneer Chet Atkins .
This guitar represents the golden age of rock and roll, country and rockabilly. This was a time when guitarists started turning up the volume and measures had to be taken to reduce feedback while still retaining the extra volume that a hollow body provides over a solid body.
The two pickups were recorded as separate signals that can be mixed as desired, so you can get anything from the ringing tone of the bridge pickup to the meaty tone of the neck pickup and everything in between.
We developed the library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most respected recording studios. Guy Randle , the company’s owner and engineer, used analog audio equipment to skillfully convey and highlight the rich tonal qualities of the instrument, available in both the original direct and amplified signals.
Evolution Vintage Gent is based on our Evolution engine, which gives you a ton of features: an innovative strumming pattern editor, automatic chord detection, and a vast collection of built-in effects. If you’ve used any of our Evolution- powered guitar or bass libraries , the interface and operation will be familiar to you.
The library contains a variety of ready-to-use presets of classic clean sounds and crunchy guitar tones.
