Description : Electric guitar
The Evolution Rick 12 captures the iconic sound of a 12-string electric guitar. We sampled a pristine vintage model with a semi-hollow maple body, rosewood fingerboard, and classic high-gain pickups.

We developed the library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most respected recording studios. Guy Randle , the company’s owner and engineer, used analog audio equipment to skillfully convey and highlight the rich tonal qualities of the instrument, available in both the original direct and amplified signals. We recommend using the latter for increased richness and sustain.

To record the samples, Guy Randle enlisted the help of experienced guitarist Michael Dowdle . Michael has an impressive musical history. His session work includes recordings for artists such as Marie Osmond , The Osmonds , John Schneider , David Archuleta , and The Jets , as well as numerous film and television scores. He has also performed on stage with the likes of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys , The Coasters , Sam Cardone , and many others.

The Evolution Rick 12 is equipped with a powerful guitar effects engine, including a large collection of modeled guitar pedals. In addition, you can choose the size of the guitar cabinet, as well as several microphone options and their placement. So you have a complete set of guitar effects at your fingertips to get amazing tones without the need for external guitar processors.
But don’t take our word for it: let your ears decide.

Features :
• Adjustable pick position using our proprietary physical modeling technology
• Various vibrato styles, from classic to rock and metal vibrato with adjustable depth/speed. Vibrato can be assigned to MIDI CC or aftertouch
• Powerful mapping system that lets you define how articulations are triggered using parameters such as velocity ranges, MIDI CCs, latching and non-latching key switches, and more
• Multitracking up to 4x
• Built-in strumming pattern editor for authentic sounds
• 4.25 GB of samples (compressed to 1.8 GB using the lossless NCW audio format)
• Articulations such as sustain, palm mute, mute, natural harmonics, and effects such as chugs, scrapes, slaps, and more
• MIDI articulations for instant up/down grace notes, trills, whole-step slides, whole-step hammer-ons, velocity- and tempo-based slides, octaves, and power chords
• Separate options for the original guitar signal, as well as a boosted signal that uses quality processing to increase richness and sustain
• Legato samples for slides, hammer-ons and pull-offs
• Sampled in 3 dynamics and 4 circle repeats
• NKS support

New in version 1.2.5 :
Added :
• Ability to lock individual settings and articulations, allowing you to switch snapshot presets without overwriting specific settings and mapped articulations. The old Lock Mapping setting has been removed. If this setting was used in existing projects, the new version will automatically switch them to use individual locking options
• New Performance Effect Keys
setting allows you to control the range of keys mapped to performance effects
• Tooltips

Improved :
• Fretboard display efficiency
• Interval names in pitch bend and legato range settings have been replaced with semitones
• Capo position now modulates the chord sound
• Open string legato mode now allows not only pull-off to open strings, but also hammer-on from open strings to higher notes on the fretboard

Fixed :
• Dynamic memory bug when canceling sustain articulation (try using one of the MIDI articulations, eg slide)
• Bug affecting Velocity Slide articulation in combination with sustain pedal pressed
