Description : Acoustic django guitar
Evolution Django Jazz recreates the sound of virtuoso guitarist Django Reinhardt, pioneer of the Romani jazz style that emerged in Paris in the 1930s. The working musicians at the time didn’t realize that they were purveying more than just jazz. In fact, the resulting style of music would eventually become recognized as its own subgenre due to its unique qualities. One of these distinctives was Django’s iconic guitar tone and agile, expressive playing, which are practically synonymous with the musical style.
The guitar we recorded for the sample library is a meticulous recreation of Django’s own Selmer 503 acoustic guitar. Constructed by a master luthier, the replica was built to the exact specifications of the original and includes details such as the zero fret, omitted bottom brace, and other intricacies of Django’s guitar that contribute to his unique tone.
We developed the library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most venerable recording studios. Guy Randle, the owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, incorporated analog audio equipment to skillfully sculpt and emphasize the rich tonal qualities of the guitar. Evolution Django Jazz includes both the as-recorded signal as well as an enhanced signal.
Evolution Django Jazz is based on our Evolution engine, which provides you with a wealth of appointments: an innovative strumming pattern editor, automatic chord detection, and a comprehensive collection of built-in effects for adding the final polish to the guitar tone. If you’ve used any of our guitar or bass libraries that use the Evolution engine, its interface and workflow will be very familiar to you.
The library includes many ready-to-use factory presets, including specialized strumming patterns for jazz rhythm guitar.
Features :
• A collection of built-in effects for ready-to-play acoustic jazz guitar tones
• Pattern editor including presets designed for real jazz rhythm guitar
• Adjustable pick position using our proprietary physical modeling technology
• Powerful mapping system that lets you define how articulations are triggered using parameters like velocity ranges, MIDI CCs, latched and non-latched key switches, and more
• 12.3GB of samples (compressed to 6.28GB using the lossless NCW audio format)
• Articulations such as sustain, palm mute, mute, natural harmonics, plus effects such as slap, soft strumming, body slams, and more
• Legato samples for slides, hammer-ons, and pull-offs
• Sampled in 3 dynamics and 4 circle repeats
• NKS support
New in version 1.2.5 :
Added :

The old Lock Mapping setting has been removed. If this setting was used in existing projects, the new version will automatically switch them to use individual locking options
• New Performance Effect Keys setting allows you to control the range of keys mapped to performance effects
• Tooltips
Improved :
• Fretboard display efficiency
• Interval names in pitch bend and legato range settings have been replaced with semitones
• Capo position now modulates the chord sound
• Open string legato mode now allows not only pull-off to open strings, but also hammer-on from open strings to higher notes on the fretboard
Fixed :
• Dynamic memory bug when canceling sustain articulation (try using one of the MIDI articulations, eg slide)
• Bug affecting Velocity Slide articulation in combination with sustain pedal pressed
