Session Strings Pro, based on Kontakt, consists of four string groups – each including four violins, three violas, two cellos , and two double basses. The warmth and balance of the ensemble is indicative of the careful selection of instruments for this library.

When developing Session Strings Pro, two factors were of particular importance to us: Firstly, simple and intuitive control of the program and, secondly, an expressive and warm string timbre, most suitable primarily for pop music, as well as for classical music and soundtracks. The violinists who participated in the recording of Session Strings Pro are some of Europe’s leading musicians, and every single tone was recorded to the highest level of expression and perfection. We made absolutely no compromises, including the choice of tools.

All instruments used in Session Strings Pro were created by Italian instrument makers of the 18th and 19th centuries. The volume of each group can be adjusted by simply turning the corresponding knob. The Bow Noise Controller included in Session Strings Pro allows the user to directly control bow noise in the overall sound of the ensemble. The fully programmable Animator engine transforms chords into staccato, spiccato, or pizzicato phrases and is an excellent tool for quickly creating creative compositions.

A huge number of string articulations can be accessed directly from Session Strings Pro and do not require pre-loading various presets. Depending on the use of certain software, you can assign articulations to free controllers so that they are convenient to control during live performance, and can also be accessed by simply pressing a specific key on your MIDI keyboard!
