Description: Native Instruments has released ACTION STRIKES – an intuitive orchestral
percussion instrument for creating cinematic rhythms with 12 unique
ensembles, 65 individual instruments and 12 single hit sets – all with control functions
in real time. This tool for Kontakt 5 was created in collaboration with the company
Dynamedion, which is known, in particular, for its work on the ACTION STRINGS tool.
ACTION STRIKES features an advanced interface specifically designed
to create orchestral pieces for film, television and computer games. 12 carefully
handpicked ensembles provide a signature sound suitable for a variety of film genres.
The top, middle and bottom sections of different ensembles can be mixed and matched,
giving a total of more than 1,700 timbre variations.
ACTION STRIKES developers have focused on ease of use and efficient workflow. Accents are controlled by the left hand, and the right hand selects variations. The modulation wheel adjusts the dynamics – from a quiet whisper to a loud fortissimo – while the tone wheel controls the strength of the accent.
