Description: Multitrack of the song Wonders Never Cease by the British band Morcheeba.
Morcheeba (MOR – middle of the road, cheeba – slang name for marijuana, that is, “the path of marijuana”) is a British musical group whose music combines such styles as trip-hop, rhythm and blues and disco. Formed in 1995 by brothers Paul (as a DJ) and Ross (keyboardist and guitarist) Godfrey.
From the time of its creation until 2005, the third member of the group was vocalist Skye Edwards, who participated in the recording of the first four Morcheeba albums, and then took up a solo career.
In 2003, the band released the DVD “Morcheeba – From Brixton to Beijing”. The first part of the disc “From Brixton to Beijing” – live concert recordings, which included recent performances in China, and a concert at London’s Brixton Academy, where Morcheeba performed their most famous hits. The second part of the DVD contains a documentary film that tells the story of the band’s trip to China. It includes both “road” and everyday footage of the band’s stay in the Celestial Empire, as well as recordings from concerts. This trip took place in March 2003. One of the highlights of the film was the story about the band members’ excursion to the Great Wall of China. The band’s fifth album “The Antidote” (2005) featured a new vocalist, Daisy Marty, who had previously sung in the band Noonday Underground. Then Marty was fired and Jody Sternberg was brought in for live performances, but the tour in support of the latest album was held with the participation of vocalist Manda.
During the recording of the album “The Antidote” the Godfrey brothers finally decided to abandon the idea of ditching a permanent vocalist. On February 4, 2008, Morcheeba released their sixth album “Dive Deep” with the participation of several guest musicians and vocalists, including Judie Tzuke, Thomas Dybdahl, Cool Calm Pete and Manda.
On February 15, 2010, it was officially announced that vocalist Skye Edwards had returned to the band and the “golden” lineup of the band was re-established.[1] On June 7, 2010, the band’s new album “Blood Like Lemonade” was released, recorded in the classic lineup.
