Description : Le Freaky Guitars captures the late 70s, early 80s disco funk era. The guitar chords are recorded with the guitar playing skills of great bands from that era such as Chic, the Commodores, Kool and the Gang with players such as Nile Rodgers and Tony Maiden who made that classic sound so timeless. Even now, that clean and crisp playing style is still played by Nile Rodgers, continuing to work with modern artists such as Daft Punk.
This set features a variety of chord loops in different keys and tempos.
To add some spice we let the guitarist play freely to give you a set of kick ass leads that you can drop into the rhythm section to add some pizzazz.
We recorded more than one rhythm loop giving subtle variations to the riffs so you can build, embellish and add natural sounding rhythmic changes between different sections of the song making your track sound as lively as you like. These nuances and subtleties are essential to making a good groove.
For this pack we enlisted the golden fingers of one of the UK’s finest guitarists with years of session and live playing under his belt playing with some heavyweight names…
And as Niles says “The secret of a good funk guitarist is knowing what notes not to play” and our guy got them all right.
We kept the whole pack simple – a Fender Stratocaster, an amp and a great player.
FX and processing have been kept to a minimum to give a crisp funk sound and allow these loops to be used as needed.
