Each step is explained in detail as he works to hone the rhythmic foundation of the track.
He then turns his attention to the song’s virtuosic guitar and vocal lines. He carefully builds the tone of these instruments and shows how he creates space for each of them in the midrange. Layers of EQ and saturation tie everything together and help create mood and excitement in the mix. He then uses more experimental techniques like pitch shifting and automated modulation that completely turn the song’s bridge into a powerful breakdown.
