Description : Join pioneering mixer Sean Everett in a series of videos filmed at Rue Boyer Studios in Paris, France! Throughout this 3-hour video presentation, you’ll get an exclusive look at how the Grammy Award-winning engineer challenges himself to remix Brittany Howard’s “Tomorrow” from scratch.
Using an out-of-the-box mix session much like a release, Sean removes all the plug-ins and starts over. This is certainly no ordinary remix – it’s so much more. He rearranges parts, makes bold edits and experiments with a new imported sample.
Applying the concept of inverse sculpting, Everett uses Celemony Melodyne’s chord analysis and linking tools to transpose music. He applies extreme distortion with Soundtoys Decapitator and uses delta audio output via Oeksound Soothe to distort material beyond recognition! You can see certain tools being used in ways you probably never thought of and enjoy watching a true innovator create something special.
