Description : Klevgrand Hillman: A synth with a rich and sweet vintage sound. Inspired by vintage combo organs, string machines and similar instruments.
The Klevgrand Hillman is a synthesizer “inspired by vintage combo organs, string machines and other similar instruments”. Judging by the published trailer of the instrument, the synthesizer has a vintage and “sweet” sound.
At the heart of the synthesizer are four oscillators with the ability to select the generated sound waveform. For each oscillator, four options are available to users: Transistor, Tube, Sine, Special Plasma (we have no idea what the latter means). Each oscillator can sound at its own volume level and within a given range of octaves. According to the developers, the synthesizer generates all the signals on its own without the use of samples – Klevgrand Hillman is a full-fledged virtual analog synthesizer.
To shape the final sound of the instrument, the interface provides an envelope section and a set of sound effects. The latter consists of chorus, phaser and reverb. Effect parameters are freely adjustable.
As is the case with other Klevgrand developments, Hillman’s interface is simple, clean and as clear as possible even for a beginner.
