About the Library
For years, you’ve been asking us to create something even lower and heavier than our best-selling Shreddage 3 Hydra . We’ve long been fans of the extremely brutal, crushing Doom soundtracks, especially the intense metal genre created by Mick Gordon for2016’s Doom . When we decided it was time to take Shreddage back to its metal roots, we looked to those soundtracks for inspiration and created Shreddage 3 Argent .
We wanted to capture the specific aggressive single-string rhythm that is characteristic of Argent Metal, which inspired our choice of instrument ( Schecter Damien Platinum ), EMG 808 pickups and the way we approached the sampling process. We set out to create the best rhythm guitar possible, and we succeeded! But the Shreddage 3 Argent is much more than that. It is an extremely versatile guitar that not only handles low rhythms and chags, but also excels at soloing. Give it even the most extreme and aggressive parts and it will handle them with dignity.
The Shreddage 3 Argent is ready to deliver cool intensity as either a rhythm or lead guitar. It’s also great with live guitars: use it for easy double-tracking or layering rhythm parts. If you’re a guitarist, we’d like to think it’s a much more affordable alternative to investing in (and mastering!) a proper 9-string guitar, without sacrificing realism or control.

Tuning The super-low tuning gives this beast the perfect tone for djent, argent metal, and other modern progressive genres. But its huge range and virtuoso playing ability allow it to go far beyond that.

Sustain, power chords, mutes, staccato, natural and artificial harmonics, plucked harmonics, tapping, tremolo, slides, effects, hammer-ons, pull-offs, rails and chokes.
Realistic performance thanks to careful sampling
Each string is sampled from open to the highest fret with 4x up and downstroke per note, 3 dynamic layers and up to 5 layers of muting. Our first guitar with 4x downstroke and sustain.
