Description: New interface, new effects, new features.
IK Multimedia has officially unveiled a new version of the IK Multimedia AmpliTube 5 guitar emulator. The novelty has received an updated interface with support for Retina displays, a large number of new hardware and the ability to work with impulses.
The new IK Multimedia AmpliTube 5 comes out five years after the release of the previous version of the plugin. According to the manufacturer, the fifth version offers a completely redesigned interface with support for zooming and Retina displays, improved user experience and an impressive selection of guitar equipment and effects.
The emulator offers 129 new virtual devices. The total number of available equipment in AmpliTube 5 MAX exceeds 400 models. In addition to this, the plugin has got a section for working with impulses. The impulse engine is based on IK Multimedia Volumetric Impulse Response (VIR) technology, which improves signal processing, making impulses sound more natural and authentic.
To develop the VIR impulses, the plugin creators analyzed and recorded over 600 impulses for each speaker available in AmpliTube. Thanks to this, the guitar emulator offers about 143,000 pulses and the ability to change the position of the microphone in three dimensions in virtual space. In addition to stock momentum, the engine allows you to import custom IR files.
Another notable innovation is a fully customizable signal chain. Users will be able to create schemes of any complexity, experiment with effects through serial and parallel processing. New features allow you to implement an unusual chain of processed-original-processed signal, the developers note.
The effect chain supports up to 57 effects. Users can freely combine cabinets, amps, stompboxes and rack effects. A number of effects migrated to the guitar emulator from the set of T-RackS studio processors.
The plug-in also has a DAW with support for recording up to 8 channels simultaneously. Together with the DAW, the developers have completely redesigned the built-in mixer, making it much more convenient. According to the creators, now you can process the guitar exclusively in AmpliTube – you do not need to switch to the main DAW window.
The AmpliTube Custom Shop section has also been redesigned. The developers have not yet disclosed the details, but note that the plugin is integrated with the AX I / O and AX I / O Solo audio interfaces.
If someone gets a trial window on their home screen, just ignore it.
