So many synthesizers have obvious inspiration from the MiniMoog. In 1977/78 I took electronic music courses at Long Beach Community College…….. for a “minor league” school to have in the lab the Oberheim 4-voice (4 SEM’s in sequence) was incredible. I think above all else in terms of design, Oberheim’s filters are what really set it apart from the Moogs and ARPs.
