Soft Clipper
The switchable soft clipper catches isolated peaks early in the processing chain,
reducing the load on the limiter. This approach results in a louder output with less pumping
and exceptional transparency. When pushed further, it adds a bit of aggression,
providing a sharp and polished sound without introducing obvious distortion.
True Peak
The True Peak function in OCELOT Limiter provides precise level control following the ITU-R BS.1770 standard.
This mode anticipates inter-sample peaks that can cause distortion when converting the signal
to the analogue domain, keeping the sound clean and exactly below the threshold level. True Peak is invaluable for mastering
and all tasks where impeccable sound quality is critical.
