Following the release of Gentle Winds and Gentle Strings, we collaborated with some of the UK’s finest brass players from the heart of the traditional brass music scene in the North of England. These players were captured playing at the softest dynamics, creating a warm, gentle texture.
Each instrument – euphonium, tenor horn, flugelhorn, cornet and soprano cornet – was recorded individually and then assembled into a seamless ensemble patch. Performed in the grand hall of The Nave, this library offers three microphone positions, and like previous libraries in our Gentle Series , it contains an atmospheric layer – a processed version of the raw samples that expands the sonic capabilities of the instruments, making them suitable for a wide range of musical applications.
Interface :
• Increase the transition of each hit to increase attack/punch
• EQ effect to change the brightness of the overall sound
• Adjust the level of the ambience layer and press S to solo it
• Control the stereo widening effect: turn clockwise for a larger signal, counterclockwise for a mono signal
• Adjust the number of spot, boom and room mics. Mute, solo or delete the dry layer and individual ambience layers from memory. Blend the near and far mixes
• Control how much of the instrument volume is affected by the velocity input signal from your MIDI device
• Control the attack and release values of notes
