Description: We sampled a trio of talented Italian musicians Barbara (violin), Giada (viola) and Klaus (cello) at the amazing Teatro delle Voci (Treviso). Violin range – 3.5 octaves, 3 dynamic layers for articulation “Sustain”, 2 types of legato, 4 circles for short articulations such as spiccato, staccato and pizzicato. 4 Round Robins for short articulations such as staccato and pizzicato. We give you the opportunity to create your own unique sound by mixing\changing 3 microphone positions (close, middle, far). Sampling was done at the highest quality using Schoeps and Audio Technica microphones, Neve and Millennia Media preamps. When developing the library, we tried to avoid excessive processing through compression and normalization. Therefore, we needed a special scripting device that could smooth out all transients realistically. We developed an external tool, the Dynamic Control Engine, which analyzes samples and imports this data into Kontakt. Thanks to the device, Kontakt “knows” the volume level of currently playing samples and aligns incoming loaded samples with the current ones. The Dynamic Control Engine works flawlessly, leaving the user to enjoy the game and create expressive legato phrases. In addition, the instrument has dynamic articulations: crescendo/glissando/legato. This allows you to create beautiful musical phrases with a smooth beginning and fading ending, or sharp, accented notes with a quick passage.
