Description: Based in Cologne, Germany, producer Robert Babicz, under his most famous and successful alias, Rob Acid, released a number of influential techno records that helped establish him as one of Germany’s leading techno producers. Before adopting the moniker Rob Acid, he released music as Acid Warrior and Department of Dance on his label, Junkfood Records.
However, after releasing several releases under the name Rob Acid, Babicz cemented his name and achieved significant recognition, leading to his joining Force Inc., Europe’s largest and most renowned techno label. There, Babich released several Rob Acid records, while also beginning to release more ambient and experimental recordings under his own name. Other Rob Acid recordings have appeared on London, Labworks (Colone Acid Science Trax), Important, and Generator, among other labels.
