Chordscape is a machine that reproduces endless ambient, designed to create evolving dark ambient soundscapes.
Chordscape contains 6 GB of sound, created from acoustic instruments, natural recordings, sound design, external effects and synthesizers. Each sound was carefully created from scratch and corresponds to the philosophy of the library and our good friend Eric McNerney.
The tool has 4 sound sources, built-in browser system, 4 dedicated sequencers and several assignable effects.
The unique Chordscape feature is that it is designed to emulate a tape device, because you just press the play button (and do not play notes), and then create the kinetics by modulating and automating the parameters during playback. This gives incredibly unique evolving sounds that never stop!
13 sound categories: With 4 sound sources, each of which has 13 sound categories, you can get lost in Chordsape for a few days! All sounds are available through the browser system, and the mixer settings are saved for each sound.
Evolutionary modulation: Chordscape allows you to modulate almost every control. Thanks to a special modulation system from 4 to 128 steps per channel, it is possible to create pulses, step sequences or long smooth progressions and adjust the speed individually for each control.
If you do not know how to use snapshots in Kontakt, then you have no idea what you are missing! They load faster, they can be organized better and easier than using a bunch of nki. Please make sure that you have placed the snapshots in the right place on your computer to make the most of Chordscape’s capabilities.
