Create space in your mix for beautiful balance. In some bass-heavy genres, the kick should always sound huge and fat. But problems can arise during the faster parts of your song, where the kick decay overlaps with an adjacent kick, ruining the mix and the clarity of the kick itself. On these drums, we used a Sweeper to remove the low rumble when the kick plays the 16th note, using a long attack time and a short release.
