Description : Perfect Plate XL uses our TXVerb technology to create a large-scale and flexible stereo reverb that producers can use to give their recordings a vintage ambience or immerse the sound in the abyss.About the program

TXVerb Reverb Technology
Our unique algorithm brings the warm characteristics of analog plate reverb to your DAW with renowned accuracy and unrivaled flexibility.

Create your own cymbal
Create the 5 aspects that determine the sound, resonance and character of a cymbal.

EQ Graph
Customize and enhance the sound of the Perfect Plate XL by altering its frequencies and resonances using the built-in EQ.

Convert Mono to Stereo
Convert a mono audio track into spectral stereo without phase issues using the Wide option.
Physical reverbs use large, heavy plates of conductive steel suspended on springs to create unique, unnatural-sounding vibrations. While room reverbs enhance the character of the sound source and simulate physical space, plate reverbs are entirely synthetic. Their otherworldly characteristics permeate the work of pioneering artists like Pink Floyd and Jefferson Airplane, imbuing their recordings with a surreal, cosmic quality that seems to have an extraterrestrial origin.

Featuring our TXVerb technology, Perfect Plate XL flawlessly emulates this sought-after effect with the advanced parameter controls that make it so iconic, as well as some additional settings that let you take your sound beyond traditional reverbs. You can use Perfect Plate XL sparingly to give vocal recordings the classic dreamy haze popular in the 60s and 70s, or create a mind-blowing metallic reverb that makes drums sound like they’ve been hammered in the iron belly of an oil tanker.

Use the Perfect Plate XL’s uncanny Rotate, Detune, and Width controls to transform virtually any audio signal into a cinematic synth drone that swirls across the stereo field and immerses your mix in a textured, sci-fi atmosphere. Perfect Plate XL empowers you to invent new ways to transport your tracks into a parallel universe of your own creation.

Characteristics :
MAIN PANEL
INPUT AND OUTPUT (-48dB to 48dB): Input and output gain that let you boost or attenuate the signal going in and going out, giving you more control over the signal.
MIX (0% to 100%): Smoothly mixes in the wet reverb signal, giving you control over the overall intensity of the effect.
HPF AND LPF (20Hz to 20kHz): A high pass and low pass filter to apply additional filtering to the generated noise.
DELAY (0ms to 1000ms): Adds pre-delay to the wet reverb signal to preserve clarity and transients.
TAIL (0ms to 10000ms): Controls the length of the reverb tail.
WIDTH (0% to 100%): Lets you adjust the stereo width of the wet reverb signal.
SLOPE (12db/oct / 24db/oct / 36db/oct / 48db/oct): Lets you choose between different dampening filter slopes.
SPEED (SLOW XL / SLOW / MEDIUM / FAST / FAST XL): Lets you choose between different dampening filter speeds.
COLOR (NATURAL / BRIGHT / DARK): Lets you choose the overall color of the plate.
FLIP (ON / OFF): Reverses the reverb tail.
SPLIT (ON / OFF): Creates a stereo reverb from a mono source.
EQ GRAPH (6 NODES): Lets you equalize the plate reverb.
FX PANEL 1: RESO (0% to 100%): Smoothly mixes in the resonance effect.
FREQ 1 / 2 / 3 (20Hz to 20kHz): Lets you set the resonance frequencies.
RES 1 / 2 / 3 (0% to 100%): Lets you set the intensity of the resonance frequencies.
GAIN 1 / 2 / 3 (-48dB to 0dB): Lets you lower the volume of the resonance frequencies.
FX PANEL 2
DRIVE (0% to 100%): Smoothly mixes in the drive effect.
TAPE / WARP / BUZZ / BITE (0% to 100%): Lets you mix-in different distortion types
CHAIN (PRE / POST): Lets you position the drive pre or post reverb in the internal effects chain
MAKEUP (-24db to 24db): Lets you apply make-up gain to compensate for the drive effect.

FX PANEL 3
ROTATE (0% to 100%): Smoothly mixes-in the rotate effect.
VIBRATO / TREMOLO / FILTER / PAN (0% to 100%): Lets you mix in four different host-synced modulation effects.
SHAPE (SINE / SINE INV / SAW / SAW INV / SQR / SQR INV / TRI / TRI INV): Lets you choose the LFO shape used for the host-synced modulation.
TIME (1/32 / 1/16 / 1/8 / 1/4 /1/2 / 1 / 2 / 4 / 8 / 16 / 32): Lets you choose the LFO time used for the host-synced modulation.
FEEL (STR8 / TRIP / DOT): Lets you choose the LFO feel used for the host-synced modulation.
OFFSET (0% to 100%): Lets you offset the LFO shape used for the host-synced modulation.
SMOOTH (0% to 100%): Lets you smooth out the edges of the LFO shape used for the host-synced modulation.

FX PANEL 4
DETUNE (0% to 100%): Smoothly mixes-in the detune effect.
WOW (0% to 100%): Lets you slowly detune the wet reverb signal in a pseudo-random manner.
SHAKE (0% to 100%): Lets you quickly detune the wet reverb signal in a pseudo-random manner.
SPEED (0% to 100%): Lets you control the speed of the wow and shake features.

FX PANEL 5
DUCKER (0% to 100%): Smoothly mixes-in the ducker effect.
THRESHOLD (-48dB to 0db): Sets the threshold above where the ducking kicks in.
RATIO (1 to 10): Sets the compression ratio used by the ducker.
ATTACK (0ms to 1000ms): The attack feature fades in the gain reduction generated by the ducker.
HOLD (0ms to 100ms): The hold feature stabilizes the gain reduction generated by the ducker.
RELEASE (0ms to 5000ms): The release feature fades out the gain reduction generated by the ducker.
LATENCY: To utilize the TXVerb technology the Perfect Plate has 2048 samples of latency. The plug-in reports this latency to the DAW, so the DAW can compensate for it if you enable the DAW’s ‘delay compensation’ functionality. This means that in any professional DAW, you do not have to worry about latency at all during the mixing mastering stage of your productions. However, in general DAW delay compensation does not work when recording. This means that the Perfect Room reverb plugin will have some latency during the recording stage, just like any other plugin that reports latency to the DAW.
