Description: Def Leppard is a British rock band from Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, formed in 1977. Their style has undergone a number of changes over the years, moving from hard rock to pop rock. The peak of this group’s popularity came in 1984-89, when their platinum albums “Pyromania” and “Hysteria” were released. The singles from the album “Hysteria” turned out to be the most successful of their entire career: “Love Bites” (1st place in the US), “Pour Some Sugar On Me” (2nd place in the US), “Armageddon It” (3rd place in the US). In 1995, they were entered into the Guinness Book of World Records as the only performers to perform on three continents in one day. One of the band’s calling cards is their one-armed drummer Rick Allen. On December 31, 1983, he was in a car accident, as a result of which his left arm was torn off (due to an incorrectly fastened seat belt). Doctors initially tried to reattach the arm, but a little later it had to be permanently amputated due to a spreading infection. The band did not abandon their drummer in trouble and did not resume work until Allen came up with a specially designed drum kit, most of which could be played with the feet. The band’s vocalist Joe Elliott says: “Rick Allen can play with one hand in a way that no one else can play with two hands!” This track was included on the album “High ‘n’ Dry”, 1981.
