Description : We’ve added a host of important new features to Band-in-a-Box® 2026 for Windows®! The program now features a modern, stylish redesign of the GUI across all areas, including toolbars, windows, and workflow. A new sidebar toolbar provides quick access to the Track Selector, MultiPicker Library, and other key windows. The Multi-View feature lets you display multiple windows and elements as layered panels without overlapping, creating a highly flexible workspace. Many windows—including Tracks, Piano Roll, and more—have been redesigned for improved usability and a cleaner, more intuitive interface.
We’ve also added an exciting new feature, “AI-Notes.” This transcribes polyphonic audio to MIDI so it can be viewed in notation or played back as MIDI. It can transcribe the entire file (all instruments with pitch) and all drums. Or it can transcribe individual instruments to audio (drums, bass, guitars/piano, vocals). This uses an AI neural network to produce results that sound incredibly musical when played back. Simply select an audio file (mp3, m4a, wav, etc.) of your favorite band/pop song, then choose the instrument(s) you want to transcribe, as well as the target MIDI track. You can get instrument transcriptions (bass, drums, guitars/piano, vocals) that can be played separately or along with the song’s audio. This is a great way to learn new songs, as you can see the parts played on the piano, keyboard, or guitar fretboard. Combine this with the “AI-Stems” feature, and you can also split the original audio into separate tracks.

1. Open the “1 Patch_2024” folder.
1 Copy the “BiaB_2024_patch.exe” file from the “1 Patch_2024” folder to the directory where you installed “Band in a Box 2024,” placing it next to the files bbw.exe, bbw64.exe, and so on.
2 Run the “BiaB_2024_patch.exe” file.
3 In the “Band in a Box 2024” program that opens, click “Help” >>> “Activate Band-in-a-Box…”.
4 In the window that opens, click “Activate Offline.”
5. Enter any serial number, for example, “9999-9999-9999-9999-9999-9999” (without quotes, only numbers).
6. Enter any activation code, for example, “999” (without quotes, only numbers).
7. Click “Activate Now.”
8. Close the program.
The program is activated and will launch using standard methods, for both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the program. The “BiaB_2024_patch.exe” file is no longer needed and can be deleted from the “Band in a Box 2024” program directory.
You can continue using “Band in a Box 2024” or proceed to the next step.
2. Open the “2 PG Music Band-in-a-Box 2025” folder.
1. Open the “1 BiaB” folder.
2. Install the file “bandinabox_realband_2025_full.exe”.
3. At the beginning of the installation, select the installation location for the program and the required program components. If you are not an experienced user of this program, leave everything at the default values.
4. Install the update “bb2025_win_update_build1128.exe”.
5. Open the “2 Patch_2025” folder.
6. Copy the file “BiaB_2025_patch.exe” from the “2 Patch_2025” folder to the directory where you installed “Band in a Box 2025”, placing it next to the files bbw.exe, bbw64.exe, and so on.
7. Run the file “BiaB_2025_patch.exe”.
8. In the “Band in a Box 2025” program that opens, click “Help” >>> “Activate Band-in-a-Box…”.
9 In the window that opens, click “Activate Offline.”
10 Enter any serial number, for example, “9999-9999-9999-9999-9999-9999” (without quotes, just numbers).
11 Enter any activation code, for example, “999” (without quotes, just numbers).
12 Click “Activate Now.”
13 Close the program.

4. Open the “4 RealBand” folder.
Copy the contents of the “4 RealBand” folder, agreeing to overwrite it, to the directory where you installed “RealBand.” Typically, C:\RealBand.
That’s it.
