This is a digital version of the V-COMP “6386 EDITION” VARI-MU compressor and the V-COMP+ “DELUXE 6386 EDITION” VARI-MU compressor.
AudioScape V-Comp+ “Deluxe 6386 Edition” is an advanced version of the legendary all-tube compressor with adjustable volume,
created in the 1950s. Originally designed for broadcasting, it gained a reputation among engineers
and producers as one of the most musical and easy-to-use compressors ever created.
Working directly with Kiive Audio, we are proud to present their legendary Vari-Mu: V-Comp compressor in plug-in form.
We’ve stayed true to AudioScape’s philosophy that sound is more real than recreated, and we’ve also added features that are only possible as plugins!.
This Vari-Mu compressor has the weight and density you expect.
while delivering incredible musical compression and color saturation,
thanks to 7 built-in lamps and an iron transformer built into the original equipment!
Deep Music Compression
To highlight the wonderful saturation that V-Comp is capable of,
we have added a 4th option to the existing single, double and triple modes. “Bypass”
as the name suggests, completely bypasses the compression section of the circuit, while at the same time passing through the all-tube signal path and large,
powerful transformers!
