Description : Polaris is an echo / reverb plug-in, based on early digital digital reverberations of the late 1970s and capable of providing echoes, atmosphere and reverb from a single multipath delay line.
When the hardware digital reverb came on the market, they were really expensive. Most manufacturers have already exploited the chains of comb and pop-up filters (smoother reverberations, but expensive in both resources and chips), there were other methods associated with using a single multi-path delay line to create a reasonable reverb, while keeping the available cost.
This idea is so simple and powerful: you mix a bunch of unmodulated Early Reflections with the remaining modulated cranes (Diffusion) to create a cheap but convincing reverb.
We expanded this technique by making the echo recirculation using the diffusion section, which allows us to use longer reverb tails. In addition, you can easily edit all the taps to create your own answers in the room, resonant ridges, customizable Karplus delay lines, Chorus, Flanging, Vibrato and more.
