The beauty of the dulcimer’s timbre is second only to one other instrument I’ve explored with awe, the Ukrainian Bandura.
I have a USB–>Audio–>MIDI interface by Sonuus, the i2m. Its tracking is incredibly tight; it seems to be just fine with quite rapid soloing. The dulcimer and Bandura’s long sustains make playing them with my Strat through the interface just amazing. Thanks man, this is a sweet instrument without yet even hearing and playing it 🙂
