Using everything from wavetables and FM synthesis to sample playback, Air Music Tech’s team of sound design experts has carefully crafted thousands of ready-to-use Xpand!2 patches. Creating your own is also easy. Patches are quickly browsed and conveniently organized into 29 categories, making it easy to find what you’re looking for.
Smart Knobs and Easy Editing:
Six smart knobs let you customize the sounds of Xpand!2. Each knob’s function changes depending on the selected part, providing direct control over the most important sonic elements. Select Simple mode, and all six knobs will simultaneously control all four shared parts of the patch, allowing you to quickly make important changes. And, of course, all your changes can be saved for quick access.
Basic Modulation:
Express yourself with powerful performance features! Pitch Bend and Aftertouch wheel settings for modulation can be adjusted separately for each part. Modulation tempo can be synced to the tempo or left free. Multiple modulation directions are available, and the WAVE direction parameters vary depending on the part, giving the Xpand!2 unique sound-shaping capabilities.
Advanced Arpeggiation:
Keep playing with advanced arpeggiation. Simply set the tempo, including the number of dotted notes and triplets, and then select a mode. The Latch switch keeps the arpeggiator playing even when you take your hands off the keyboard. Each Xpand!2 part is equipped with its own arpeggiator. Many parts, such as Action Pads and Loops, automatically activate the arpeggiator, as it’s an integral part of the sound.
The Dynamic Effects Duo
Xpand!2 features two independent effects processors with fifty studio-grade effects, from rich reverbs to the mind-blowing Chaos Delay. When selecting a new effect type, Xpand!2 instantly changes the functions of the editing knobs, providing precise control over each effect. The output of FX1 can be connected to the input of FX2 for complex, cascade-style effects.

Place the included Xpand2.big file anywhere permanently.
Next, edit the included Xpand!2.reg file to point to the correct location
where you moved it. It’s recommended to maintain the double-\ formatting, as shown in the example .reg file you’re editing.
Finally, double-click the Xpand!2.reg file to add it to the registry.
