Adam Monroe’s Wurlitzer – a virtual instrument, an early model of 1970′-s Wurlitzer 200A. The process began with the built-in speakers sound reinforcement piano Wurlitzer condenser microphone dynamic MC930 microphone and tape AEA R84 through line out through Reverb Amp Fender Deluxe. These signals are fed to the preamps Grace M101 and AEA TRP. Signals from wurlitzer amplifier and preamplifier have been summarized in an attempt to maintain the gain. But about halfway sampling process power died, which eventually killed the power transformer. Preamplifier, amplifier and power transformer were replaced and sampling continued. When started sampling bass notes, it became apparent that the built Wurlitzer dynamics also need to be replaced.
When the sampling frequency is strongly dominated by low, so the samples were processed by the equalizer that would have then been able to better seat them into the mix. It was the most temperamental tool that we’ve ever sampled!
In some samples simple linear distortions have been added, and some have built-in reverb.
