Description:
BIG LOADER | A universal IR (impulse response) reverb loader. Big Loader is a convolution reverb plugin featuring impulse response loading, envelope shaping controls, a reverb equalizer, and wet/dry faders.

Big Loader is a versatile IR (impulse response) reverb loader. Load up any plate, spring, hall, or room impulse—including those you’ve recorded yourself—and shape it to fit the space of your mix, all without leaving the plugin. Trim the impulse, stretch it, adjust the decay and damping, balance the early reflections against the reverb tail, and refine the sound further using width, a four-band EQ, chorus, drive, muting, and a gate. An integrated browser provides one-click access to your entire library of impulse responses. Convolution-based reverb features: what Big Loader does with an impulse once it’s loaded.

Level-matched impulses
Supports WAV, AIFF, FLAC, OGG, and MP3 formats at any sample rate, in mono, stereo, or four-channel true stereo. Every impulse is automatically level-matched upon loading, allowing you to audition an entire folder without needing to touch your faders.

Shape the space itself
DECAY extends or shortens the reverb relative to the impulse’s natural decay, without altering its tonal character. HI DECAY dampens high frequencies, mimicking how soft materials absorb sound in a real-world space. STRETCH adjusts the size of the entire environment, with pitch shifting that behaves just like a variable-speed tape machine.

Separate control for early reflections and the reverb tail
The SPLIT parameter defines the boundary between early reflections and the reverb tail. With independent EARLY and LATE controls, you can make a hall sound denser, or strip the “walls” away from a room to let the reverb bloom.

Trim, Delay, Reverse
Drag the tabs on the waveform display to trim the start or end of an impulse response. PRE DELAY delays the reverb by up to half a second, preserving the clarity of the dry signal, while REV plays the impulse in reverse to create reverse reverb effects.

Reverb-Specific Width and EQ
WIDTH allows you to narrow the reverb to mono or widen the stereo image, while a four-band EQ—featuring bell, shelf, and cut filter types—helps remove “mud” or harsh hiss from the reverb tail.

Neither control affects the dry signal.

Chorus and Drive: Pre or Post
Includes a multi-voice chorus that “wanders” rather than simply gliding, and a tube-style drive that ranges from subtle warmth to full-blown distortion. Place either effect before the IR to process the source signal, or after the IR to shape the reverb itself.

Ducking and Gating
The DUCK control lowers the reverb level while the dry signal is playing, allowing the reverb to swell during pauses. The gate is triggered by the dry input and stays open for a set duration, creating that classic “gated” drum sound.

Zero Latency When You Need It
LOW LAT mode operates with zero latency, making it ideal for tracking or live performance. HI-QUAL mode is optimized for mixing; it reports its latency to the host DAW, ensuring everything remains perfectly in sync.

Your library is just a click away
The built-in browser lets you keep your IR folders right alongside the plugin, with support for search, tags, and favorites—plus four factory-included IRs to get you started. Each impulse response is saved within your session, ensuring that your projects open with the correct reverb, no matter which computer you’re using.
