Description: SampleRoll DRFT is a unique VHS/CRT multi-effect plugin that combines audio and video processing. It emulates the distortions characteristic of vintage magnetic tape and CRT televisions (wow & flutter, overdrive, noise), allowing you to radically degrade audio while generating synchronized visuals directly within the interface.
SampleRoll DRFT blurs the line between sound design and video art. You can feed any video, GIF, or live webcam signal through it, and the visuals will distort in tandem with the audio.
Features:
Synchronized Distortion (6 parameters): Control overdrive (BURN), tape pitch instability (DRIFT), image warping (BEND), signal dropouts (DROPOUT), blurring (WASH), and white noise (NOISE). Any change is instantly and synchronously reflected in both the audio and the image.
Video-Audio Integration: Load your own MP4 or GIF files. If you don’t have your own footage, use the 23 built-in generators (plasma, tunnels, fractals, etc.) that pulse in time with your audio.
Image-Driven Audio (FEED): The plugin analyzes the brightness and dynamics of the video frame to modulate the mix in real-time. Flashes in the video brighten the sound, while dark frames dampen it.
CIRCUIT and PAINT modes: Transform the waveform into physical CRT monitor distortions or use an interactive canvas that captures transients and leaves visual trails of played notes.
One-click MP4 export: Hit REC to save your finished audiovisual clip in 16:9, ultra-wide, or 9:16 (for Reels/Shorts) formats directly from the pluginβno third-party video editors required.
