Description:
PAM is an eight-segment creative sampler.
Create patterns, stretch and manipulate samples, and route modulation between slots using LFOs, envelopes, macros, and parameter sequencers.
Additional Information:
Cell Grid: Eight independent cells featuring samplers, effects, and modulation. Modulation routing between cells and creation of complex signal flows.
Cell Views: Four views per cell: sampler control, sample browser, pattern editor, and effects chain. Instant switching between views.
CtrlAll: Global macro controls and A/B crossfader. Parameter linking across all cells, with per-cell exclusion options.
Slicer: Sample slicing with automatic transient detection. Slice sequencing using dedicated slice patterns.
Pattern: Step sequencer with tracks for notes, pitch, slicing, and time-stretching—plus a piano roll for polyphonic mode. Note drawing and resizing across the full pitch range, featuring scale filtering and velocity lanes.
Tracker: Tracker-style pattern view for all cells. Programming of notes, velocity, probability, and retriggering on a vertical timeline.
Mixer: Mixing for all eight cells with volume, pan, mute, and solo controls. Per-cell effects chain featuring EQ, filter, delay, compressor, and more.
Looper: Recording of up to eight tracks with overdubbing, external input, and drag-and-drop functionality. Storage of eight variations with synchronized switching.
Variation: Parameter randomization with adjustable range and probability. Add controllable variations to any parameter. LFO Modulation: Six global LFOs with multiple waveforms and tempo sync. Assignable to any parameter with depth and bipolar control.
Envelope: Envelopes for each parameter with adjustable attack and decay. Sidechaining from any cell output.
Randomization: Generation of random signals and settings for specific parts of PAM—randomizing all LFOs simultaneously, all envelopes, all sequencers, and more.
Changes in 1.7.1:
v1.7.1 (13 September 2026)
Added
– Create New Preset from Variation in the variation menu saves the chosen variation as a preset of its own, with its samples copied into your library.
– Preset browser columns and pack filter. Filter the library by pack, sort the list by clicking a column header, and right-click the header to choose which columns show: Category, Pack, Author, BPM, Variations and Saved.
– Preset pack cards play their preview from a waveform under the artwork, and you can scrub through it.
– Randomize Synths (⌥7) rolls the drum synth on every cell from the keyboard; the shortcut for sequences is now named Randomize Param Sequences. Changed
– The LFO table’s remove-all button now leaves locked assignments in place. Improved
– More controls in CTRL: adjust the Cut threshold, transpose the Synth, set Poly note ranges and roots, MIDI isolation and Slice Keymap playback, and edit custom Resonator intervals across cells.
– Presets prepare in the background, so the browser and the rest of the interface keep responding while one loads.
– The preset library re-reads only the files that changed and keeps artwork cached, so scrolling a large library is smoother.
– Saving preset details that have not changed no longer rewrites the file or moves it in a date-sorted list. Fixed
– CTRL Swing and Retrigger menu settings now respect excluded cells, as do Resonator voicing edits.
– A slice played from the slice sequencer in Trigger mode ran on past the end of its slice, or jumped to the slice knob’s slice, once the sequencer step ended; it now plays its slice to the end and stops.
– A soloed cell dimmed as if it were silenced.
– The Crusher’s Bit knob showed fractional values (1.26, 1.52, …) instead of whole bits; it reads 1 to 16 again, in the plugin and in the host’s parameter display.
– Switching a variation into or out of Pitch, Wavefold or a Transient split shifted the timing across the transition; the patch now reserves its latency up front, saved variations included.
– A variation or section switch that landed exactly on a block boundary could fire slightly early.
– A looper track cleared, loaded or warped while a preset was still loading came up with its old clip.
– Activating with a code on an account that has no PAM license dead-ended on an error; you now stay signed in and can start the free trial from there.
– Modulation source pickers in a knob’s menu closed the moment you lifted your finger on a touchscreen.
– A transition’s Curve row picked an arbitrary curve when glide and blend differed; it now reads Custom, and choosing a curve links the two again.
– The dice buttons in the LFO, Envelope, Vary and Param Seq panels ignored the Randomize amount setting.
– A slow-arriving waveform from an earlier pack preview could replace the current one, and some previews inside a pack would not play.
Installation:
- You must have the latest version of the TEAM R2R System installed
- After installation, register using WM_MAPAudio.r2rwm
- Get the Factory Content from this release
Note:
If a previous version from R2R was already installed and registered, simply install this one over it. Re-registration will not be required.
