Description:
A virtual instrument platform, reimagined
Imagine any sound—Kontakt lets you find, create, and transform it.
The latest version of our revolutionary sampling platform combines a brand-new
set of smart tools with limitless sound-creation possibilities, redefining
how you generate ideas and create music.

Changelog v8.13.1:
Fixed: The DAW could freeze when loading a large number of Kontakt instruments if the NI Hardware Connection Service was installed.
Note from bobdule:
Native Instruments still hasn’t fixed actual bugs, such as older libraries crashing upon loading (a fix has been introduced here
to address this “joke”). KSP scripts still do not appear in Creator instruments.

Installation, questions, etc…:

1) Run the Kontakt 8 8.12.1 Setup program on your computer.
2) Disable your antivirus and extract “Kontakt 8.13.1 Full Options Patcher.7z”, then run “Kontakt 8.13.1 Full Options Patcher” as administrator.

(If you unchecked the AAX or VST3 boxes during installation, the patcher will report that it cannot find the file; simply click the “NO” button).
Click the “Patch” button and wait for the text “DONE” to appear in the bottom-left corner.

How do I add a library?
After successfully registering Kontakt, you can add a library using the “Kontakt_Button” located in the “C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 8” folder.
If this utility is missing, it may have been blacklisted by your antivirus, or Kontakt may not have registered correctly.

Can I install the latest version of Kontakt 8 over a previous version of Kontakt (bobdule)?
YES! You can; just make sure you use the same installation location (the default one).

Can Kontakt 6/7 and Kontakt 8 run side-by-side?
Yes! You can install both versions without any conflicts.
