CORRIDOR | A network of interconnected rooms. Instead of a single space, multiple spaces coexist here, linked by corridors through which sound propagates. Each room has its own size and material, and you arrange them yourself on the central screen.
Backstory
When I was recording Hurts Happiness, the studio I rented had an entire floor featuring large, empty concrete corridors and vacant rooms. I would place a cheap portable recorder in various spots and sing vocal overdubs, capturing them with the “wet” sound. It sounded fantastic. Ever since then, I’ve wanted to create a plugin that could replicate that experience.
So, instead of a single algorithm modeling one space, you find yourself at the center of several interconnected rooms, with sound traveling between them via resonant corridors. Hence the name.
This engine was previously part of STRÄNG; now it operates as a standalone unit with a much wider range of settings.
