Pure SUB is a software bass synthesizer built around three independent layers: Sub (fundamental component),
Harmonics, and Texture. Each layer is generated and shaped separately before being routed through a shared filter, effects chain, and output stage.
The architecture is specifically designed for electronic bass production, covering 808, sub-bass, and Reese bass, as well as distorted and textured variations.

  • Three independent synth layers: Sub, Harmonics, Texture; each can be routed to the filter individually
  • Sub section: independent level, phase, and pitch controls; Sub Regen preserves a clean, phase-stable fundamental component after processing
  • Harmonics: Pressure mode (custom waveform editor, low density) and Reese mode (high-density unison); dedicated Pitch Envelope; EQ with keyboard tracking
  • Texture: Texture mode (Ring Modulation, AM, Distortion) and Corroder mode (Noise, Sine, Saw, Square at fixed frequencies or with keyboard tracking)
  • Over 40 filter modes; Sub, Harmonics, and Texture can be independently routed to the filter.
  • Sub Processor: 33 modes, global Amount control, 6 sound-shaping macros, randomization of mode and macros
  • FX Rack: 12 slots, 18 effects, ability to save FX rack presets
  • Maximiser: Soft and Hard modes; Built-in EQ, compression, and multi-band processing
  • Modulation: 3 envelopes (including a dedicated Pitch Envelope), 6 flexible modulation slots (Envelope, Function, Random, Step Sequencer, Voice Modulator)
  • Modulation Sidechain: routing one modulator to control the depth of another
  • 4 assignable macros; keyboard control: Velocity, Key Track, Mod Wheel, Aftertouch, Release Velocity
  • MPE support, including Slide
  • 300 factory presets; scalable interface; built-in tutorials
  • NKS compatibility; MTS-ESP compatibility for microtuning
