“Computer Noises” is based on a wide palette of sounds produced by computers during startup, CD-ROM reading, and hard drive access.
The library features startup sounds from 10 different laptops and desktop computers (ranging from an old ATARI PC 2 to Pentium I and III, Celeron, and CoreDuo models). Each startup sequence was recorded from various points on the system unit. Consequently, each computer reveals the unique sonic characteristics of its specific hard drives, power supply and CPU fans, and other internal components.
In the “bonus” folder, you will find sounds from external hard drives and additional fans.
