Le Freaky Guitars captures the disco-funk era of the late ’70s and early ’80s. The guitar chords are recorded using the guitar playing skills of great bands from that era, such as Chic, the Commodores, Kool, and the Gang, with players like Nile Rodgers and Tony Maiden making this classic sound so timeless. Even today, this clean and crisp playing style is still played by Nile Rodgers, who continues to work with modern artists like Daft Punk.
This set contains numerous chord loops in various keys and tempos.
To spice things up, we let the guitarist play freely, giving you a set of killer lead parts that you can layer over the rhythm section for a little extra flair.
We recorded more than one rhythm loop, providing subtle riff variations, so you can build the composition, embellish, and add natural-sounding rhythmic changes between different sections of the song, making your track sound as “live” as you like. These nuances and subtleties are essential for creating a good groove.
For this package, we enlisted the golden fingers of one of the UK’s finest guitarists, with years of sessions and live performances under his belt, playing with some of the biggest names in the business…

We recorded the entire package simply—a Fender Stratocaster, an amp, and a great player.
FX and processing were kept to a minimum to provide a crisp, funky sound and allow loops to be used as needed.
