The PSP oldTimer ME (Master Edition) installer includes two versions of the oldTimer plug-in:
PSP oldTimerME is a vintage-style compressor designed for track and group compression, limiting, and mastering.
PSP oldTimer is a vintage-style compressor designed for track or group compression and limiting.
Our goal in developing these plug-ins was to provide you with versatile compressors
that provide detailed control and exceptionally musical sound. PSP oldTimer isn’t based on any specific hardware,
but is inspired by vintage circuits, and we designed them to emulate our favorite characteristics of such compressors.
PSP oldTimerME combines advanced features, such as the ability to process only the left, right,
mid, or side channels, while remaining easy to set up.
With PSP oldTimer, our goal was to create a simple compressor that would deliver a purely musical sound,
requiring minimal setup. PSP oldTimer is so easy to use that even with the most extreme settings,
it’s difficult to sound bad! These compressors provide smooth and seamless compression for most applications,
however, they can slightly distort the sound due to their tube emulation during transients under intense internal stress
due to high compression settings. Both versions of oldTimer are part of our zero-latency processing plug-ins, making them ideal for situations such as real-time monitoring, live broadcast production, and monitoring level control.
