The Orphica is an unusual small piano invented by Carl Leopold Rollig. This portable piano was built in the late 18th century and its production lasted only 15 years. Only about 30 such unique instruments remain worldwide. The instrument was named after Orpheus’s lyre.
The piano was sampled in its original tuning of 402 Hz. The distribution contains patches for Kontakt and Gigastudio.
For maximum sound quality, we recorded at 192 kHz/24-bit resolution, downsampled to 44.1 kHz/24-bit. This sample set consists of nearly 900 single samples.
