• From the strings of a bowed piano to the shimmer of a crystal ball, unlock over 200 reimagined instrument presets

Metamorphosis of Sound

Erosia is a cinematic sound design engine that listens deeper than the ear can see. Every texture begins with the smallest details: a bow drawn across glass, a hinge under tension, ice cracking against metal. Captured close-up, these fragile moments expand into vast cinematic landscapes. Friction becomes movement, decay becomes beauty, and the imperceptible becomes a powerful storytelling tool for composition and sound design.

The Voice of Materials

Erosia begins where material meets friction. Combining contact microphones with traditional close-up miking, he captures both the subtle and tactile vibrations within objects, as well as their natural spatial resonance. Warped glass, rusty hinges, cracked pianos, and splintered wood reveal hidden textures. From the crackle of ice on plates to glass vases under tension, every sound embraces imperfection.

Inside the Engine

Erosia consists of four layers: a Grain layer that breaks down and animates textures, and three interchangeable Sampler or Wavetable layers. Together, they create instruments that sound lively, organic, and unpredictable. Simplified Play and FX pages allow for quick and intuitive sound shaping, while the Transform control evolves timbres, smoothly transitioning from tension to decay and release.

From Sound to Story

Underneath the surface, Erosia combines sampler realism, granular motion, and waveform glow into a single evolving instrument. The Modulation page provides access to LFOs, envelopes, and sequencers, allowing you to animate and deconstruct sound in countless ways. A metal loop can transform into a storm, the resonance of glass into an endless hum—every texture becomes a story.

Bring it to life with Kontrol keyboards

Erosia integrates seamlessly with Kontrol keyboards, giving you complete control over snapshots, timbre development, and expressive sound shaping.

Created in collaboration with Jeremy Savage
