Content :
Chapter 1: User Interface – It’s not enough to just start pushing buttons, you’ll miss hidden functionality and take longer than needed to accomplish basic tasks. This chapter shows you shortcuts and explains the nuances of various control types. It also takes you through keyboard and mouse shortcuts as well as MIDI mapping.
Chapter 2: Oscillators – Oscillators are at the heart of any synthesizer. This chapter takes you through oscillator basics and then walks through every control in Z3TA’s powerful sound generation system. It also looks at several performance features found only on Z3TA.
Chapter 3: Filters – If the oscillators are the heart of a synth, then the filters are its soul. Filters give a synth its sonic signature and the filters in Z3TA provide a huge pallet of possibilities. This chapter explores signal path, filter fundamentals and the controls and tricks needed to squeeze amazing sounds out of Z3TA.
Chapter 4: Controllers – The control systems: Low Frequency Oscillator, Envelope Generator and Modulation Matrix are key to bringing Z3TA to life. This chapter shows you how to take a static sound and give it instant, tempo-sync’d rhythm, complex interactive dynamics or luxurious textures.
Chapter 5: Effects – Z3TA works great as a plug in or as a stand-alone instrument and it comes complete with a powerful suite of effects. This chapter takes you through: distortion, compression, reverb, EQ (plus an easy to miss “simulator” mode) modulation and delay. It also shows you how to map these effects to your MIDI controller or drive them from the modulation matrix. You’ll also learn how to use the Z3TA’s on-board recording function.
