ValhallaDSP claims this reverb is best suited for “an idealized room experience.” One review states that while Valhalla Room sounds very good, it sounds more “hyperrealistic and lush” than “rough and realistic.” The authors also believe the user interface could be improved.
Valhalla Vintage Verb v4.0.5
Valhalla Vintage Verb is a plugin featuring the sounds of various digital reverbs from the late 1970s and 1980s, including the Lexicon and EMT. This plugin was used on songs like Adele’s “Hello” and “Water Under the Bridge,” as well as Lana Del Rey’s “Lust for Life.” You can adjust the decay rate of various frequencies, and separate early and late diffusion settings are available.

ValhallaDSP claims this reverb is best suited for creating “warm and dense reverbs in the style of the 1960s and 1970s.” Third-party user reviews of Valhalla Plate are generally positive, but one notes that “it won’t satisfy all needs” as it only simulates plates and small chambers, not more spacious rooms.

Valhalla Delay is a plugin that simulates the sound of a number of vintage delays, including tape delays (such as the Roland Space Echo, Maestro Echoplex, or reel-to-reel delays), bucket-brigade delays, 1980s digital delays, and pitch-shifting delays. It features a “ghost” mode that combines delay with pitch shifting. This plugin can reproduce both classic delay sounds and unusual sound effects.
