Recorded by acclaimed mixer/engineer/producer Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Anthrax, The Donnas) and sampled by drummer Jeff Friedl (A Perfect Circle, Devo, Filter), this expansion for EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3 brings together two rock heavyweights and delivers exactly what its name promises: drums specifically designed for heavy rock. In total, it includes four unique kits, one additional recorded kit configuration, and several additional snares – all hand-selected to provide a breadth of tones that range from rich, dark, and booming to ringing, tight, and punchy.
Additionally, the kits were recorded in a private, high-end studio in the Los Angeles area that boasts a massive sound yet not overwhelming room, making it the perfect choice for loud rock drums that sound thunderous but aren’t drowned out by excessive ambience.
In addition to the sounds, the kit includes a wide selection of ready-to-mix presets designed by Ruston, as well as a basic collection of grooves and fills made by Friedl.
