Description : These days it seems like every kid with a computer takes (already recorded) drums, adds some compression, a bit of reverb, some effects and calls themselves a sound designer. Don’t fool yourself. As far as sound design goes, Francesco was as naive as they come. But he started making music at the age of 14 and spent his later years studying the nuances of electronic sound and film scoring at the Conservatory in Italy.

Almost immediately in his musical journey, he began to realize that in order to create, he needed to listen more. This set him on a journey of self-discovery – listening to what was around him and paying attention to what was in front of him. He soon realized that everything could be a musical instrument if you listened well. From that moment on, he began to develop sounds from everyday objects.

A printer, a bicycle, a drill, a water bottle, a spray can, an iPhone, a lamp, a banana… yes, a banana. The world around him opened up and everything played a part. Francesco claims that by starting with the most ordinary objects you already have, your songs (and the process by which you create them) become completely unpredictable in an instant. Listen to Francesco’s amazing work. Content
