Description:
Quadrant 2 is a modular effects processor designed for experimental sound design in electronic music production.
Add. information:
Quadrant’s advanced patching system and diverse set of modules provide a customizable processing environment that allows you to create a wide range of creative sound effects. Version 2 builds on this by adding 4 additional module slots, 14 new modules and many new features and improvements. Quadrant 2 is great for creating vibrant electronic tones, textures and patterns, as well as processing your drum loops, soft synths and external equipment.
We initially set out to create a signal processing plugin with an intuitive yet deeply modular workflow that takes advantage of the fun factor of patching hardware modules, giving you a number of benefits such as the ability to run multiple instances of the plugin/modules and DAW integration. We then incorporated years of customer feedback and technical expertise to make version 2 even more flexible, powerful and user-friendly.
Quadrant 2 offers a wide selection of modules that you can freely configure to fill up to 12 slots. Once the module is installed in the slot, you will have access to 4 input and output nodes, which you can freely connect to using Quadrant virtual patch cables. The nodes have built-in attenuators and are configured to send and receive multiple signals simultaneously, making complex modulation scenarios possible. Quadrant 2 comes with 50 modules, ranging from oscillators and effects to sequencers and utilities.
Quadrant’s unique workflow and interface will change the way you think about modulation and signal processing. The plugin allows you to set up completely self-generating patches, making it equally effective as both a sound generator and an effects processor. Our designers have prepared many fixes for external and internal effects to show what the plugin can do. Factory presets are divided into three groups, and additional groups can be added using the new preset group system.

It’s unclear whether Cubase still allows you to use a VSTi as an insert effect, like running drums audio through the Moog Modular V envelope follower to modulate filter. Just curious if this allows that……. does say “processing drum loops”.
