Description: Adagio Cellos contain three main groups of cellos. Full Ensemble Cello (6), Divisi Cello (3) and Solo Cello (1). All groups have been widely sampled and recorded in a signature church environment with a carefully selected group of great cellists from San Francisco. All groups were sampled from three different microphone positions (close, far, mixed) and we deployed the same unique sampling methods we applied to Adagio violins, including circular legato and the ability to connect legato forces with other joints like loure (floating notes) and dynamic strokes (expressive notes). We also recorded new specific cello articulations (eg Tenuto and sordino Tenuto, expressive detache, measured tremolo with open strings, deep samples of sordino loure and sordino strokes, new FX, etc.)
