Description: A percussion instrument created from the tapping, thumping, hitting and scratching sounds of the violin, viola, cello and bass. We recorded 40 unique sounds. There is a truly human feeling behind each of them, some sounds more traditional and others much more experimental.
Included are over 200 draggable MIDI loops written and performed by percussionists. A great starting point if you need instant inspiration. Equally useful if you’re on a tight deadline and just need something that works.
In any case, this is a percussion sample library that is slightly different. Great for rhythmic string quartet arrangements as well as full action when you need something that doesn’t sound like any other composer’s percussion.
As with all of our custom designed interfaces, we want you to have a logical and clear layout where everything is at your fingertips.
To make it easier to understand the tool, you can hover your mouse over any control and instructions will appear in the information bar of the Kontakt window.
Recorded at The Nave, one of the finest recording studios in the north of England; converted church with the most beautiful concert hall. The Neumann U47, U87 and the Brauner VMA microphone provide a really warm, full and very detailed sound. The Neumann KM184 stereo pair provides a more spacious and lively stereo. Everything was recorded with Neve and API preamps, an AMEK Rembrandt console and recorded at 96kHz using world class Apogee AD16X A/D converters.
